In this personal 10-minute introduction, Lou Tortola walks you through every detail of the Seven Oaks Italy journey — from the hamlet in Molise to the Amalfi Coast by private boat. This is the experience, in his own words.

When you're ready, Lou would love to speak with you personally. Every reservation begins with a conversation.

Seven Oaks Italy · August 26 – September 4, 2026 · A journey through Molise, Rome, Pompeii & the Amalfi Coast

2025 · 20 guests · Same itinerary · Same property · Same team

Three Travellers. One Verdict.

In 2025, a group of 20 guests completed a journey that closely mirrors this year's program — the same property, the same Molise villages, Pompeii, Caserta, Montecassino, Agnone, the cooking classes, the shared meals, and the warmth of Le Sette Querce.

Here, three of those travellers speak candidly about what the experience meant to them. No scripts. No prompts. Just what they felt — and why they'd go back.

What 2025 Guests Actually Said

"The village is fantastic — the hospitality, the service, the views, the food, the wine — everything is wonderful."

— Jane Lucken, 2025 Guest

"I've traveled all over the world, and the food here is unbelievable. I definitely want to come back."

— Sonny Weaver, Kansas City, Missouri · 2025 Guest

"There's another life besides busy, busy, busy — and we found it here."

— Judy Penman, 2025 Guest

This is not a tour.
It is an invitation.

Set in the quiet hills of Molise — two hours from Rome, unknown to most travelers — Seven Oaks offers what most Italian journeys cannot: evenings that belong to no one's schedule, meals that extend without apology, and a countryside that has never been arranged for visitors.

Guests reside exclusively at Villaggio Rurale Le Sette Querce, a restored rural hamlet with private en-suite accommodations, views over the rolling Molise countryside, pool access, and modern comforts. Seven Oaks is not your hotel. It is your home for the week.

Each day unfolds as a carefully balanced journey through culture, landscape, and cuisine — always returning to the warmth of the village by evening. Building on a successful 2025 inaugural season, the 2026 program delivers the same experience, the same team, and the same commitment to what was promised.

Additional Support Available

Seven Oaks Italy is set within a historic hillside village environment, where pathways, stone steps, and varied terrain are part of the character of the setting. For this reason, the retreat is not suitable for wheelchair access.

That said, we remain attentive to individual circumstances and are committed to thoughtful accommodation wherever reasonably possible. Guests who may require additional support — whether due to limited mobility, visual impairment, or other personal considerations — are encouraged to speak with us in advance. In certain cases, we can arrange dedicated assistance so that the guest may comfortably participate in shared meals, conversations, and the social rhythm of the program.

While the tour follows a structured design, we understand that every traveler's needs are unique. We welcome open dialogue prior to booking and will always make a sincere effort to explore appropriate solutions where feasible.

Travel insurance is not an afterthought; it is part of responsible travel planning. For an international cultural program such as Seven Oaks Italy, comprehensive coverage typically includes trip cancellation and interruption protection, emergency medical coverage abroad, medical evacuation, baggage protection, and delay coverage. The purpose is simple: to safeguard both your investment and your well-being should unforeseen circumstances arise before or during travel.

Most North American travelers obtain coverage in one of three ways.

First, many premium credit cards include travel insurance benefits. Cardholders should review their specific policy booklet carefully — coverage varies widely, particularly for medical limits and cancellation reasons. A brief call to the card issuer can clarify exactly what is included and whether supplemental coverage is advisable.

Second, travelers may purchase a standalone policy through a reputable travel insurance provider. This is often done online by searching terms such as "comprehensive travel insurance international trip" or "trip cancellation and medical evacuation insurance." Established providers allow you to compare coverage levels and medical limits transparently. Policies are typically priced as a percentage of trip cost and age, and in most cases represent a modest addition relative to the overall journey.

Third, some travelers prefer speaking with an independent travel insurance advisor who can explain coverage distinctions — particularly "cancel for any reason" upgrades, pre-existing condition waivers, and evacuation limits.

The goal is not to complicate your planning, but to travel with clarity and confidence. With appropriate coverage in place, you are free to focus entirely on the experience ahead.

Everything You
Need to Know

Understanding European Package Travel Protection
For Our North American Guests

Your Seven Oaks Italy journey is legally structured under the EU Package Travel Directive (Directive (EU) 2015/2302). In practical terms, this means your trip is treated as one fully protected travel package — not a series of separate bookings.

  • One licensed European tour operator is legally responsible for delivering the entire program as described
  • Your payments are financially protected under European insolvency regulations
  • The organizer is required to carry professional liability insurance
  • You are entitled to assistance and remedies if contracted services are not properly delivered
These protections apply to you regardless of whether you reside in the United States, Canada, or elsewhere. Because the program is sold through a licensed European tour operator, it is governed by European consumer protection law — providing a level of regulatory oversight and financial safeguarding that goes beyond informal travel arrangements.

Tour Operator (Organizer and Merchant of Record): Travelcafè di Altaquota Srl

Is this physically demanding?
The itinerary includes moderate walking through archaeological sites, historic towns, and countryside paths. Most guests in average physical condition participate comfortably. Rest periods are incorporated daily. Guests with mobility concerns are encouraged to contact us before booking.
Is this a fast-paced tour?
No. The rhythm is intentionally balanced. Each evening returns to Seven Oaks, allowing genuine time for relaxation and reflection. Days are full of experience, not crammed with obligations.
What language is the program conducted in?
The program is conducted entirely in English. Local Italian-speaking guides assist at cultural sites. No Italian language knowledge is required.
Are dietary restrictions accommodated?
Yes. Vegetarian, gluten-free, and most medically necessary dietary restrictions are accommodated with advance notice at time of booking.
Is WiFi available at the property?
Yes. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property and in all guest rooms at Villaggio Rurale Le Sette Querce.
What airport do I fly into?
Rome Fiumicino (FCO) or Naples Capodichino (NAP) are the nearest international airports. Transfers are arranged from both on the official arrival day (August 26). A detailed travel logistics guide is provided upon booking.
What should I pack?
Comfortable walking shoes, layered clothing for late summer evenings, and modest attire for religious sites. A detailed packing guide will be provided to all confirmed guests.
Can I extend my stay or book flights through Seven Oaks?
Yes — and we encourage it. Our licensed tour operator partner, Travelcafè di Altaquota Srl, can assist with international flight bookings, pre- or post-program hotel nights, and any other travel arrangements you need while in Italy. Simply let us know your plans and our travel team will take care of everything. Contact Daria Di Antonio on our Travel Services team to get started.
Is travel insurance required?
Travel insurance is not mandatory, but strongly recommended. Given the cancellation policy and the investment involved, comprehensive coverage provides important peace of mind.
Are custom group or corporate packages available?
Absolutely. For corporate groups, larger family reunions, or organizations seeking a bespoke Italian experience, Seven Oaks can design a custom journey — either built around this itinerary or created independently to suit your group's specific interests and dates. Reach out to us directly at [email protected] or call 1-877-274-8820 to start the conversation.
How many guests will be on the program?
Participation is limited to a maximum of 24 guests — ideally suited to approximately 10–12 couples. This small-group structure ensures attentive hosting and an intimate atmosphere.
What is Molise — and why have I never heard of it?
Molise is a small, largely undiscovered region in south-central Italy — the second smallest region in the country and one of the least visited. That is precisely the point. While the rest of Italy has become increasingly crowded and curated for mass tourism, Molise has remained authentically itself. Medieval villages where traditions are still lived rather than performed. Artisans who have been working the same crafts for generations. Landscapes of extraordinary quiet beauty. When guests tell us the Molise days were among the most meaningful of the journey, it is because they encountered something real — not something staged for visitors.
What is Le Sette Querce like as a place to stay?
Villaggio Rurale Le Sette Querce — Seven Oaks — is a restored rural hamlet nestled in the rolling hills of Molise. Stone buildings, terracotta rooftops, winding paths, and open countryside as far as the eye can see. Guest rooms feature private en-suite bathrooms, handcrafted wooden furniture, and the stone arch ceilings that define the property's character. There is a pool, a full-service restaurant serving Molisan cuisine, outdoor terraces, and expansive green grounds. It is a 4-star property in every meaningful sense — comfortable, beautifully maintained, and genuinely warm. But more than its facilities, what makes Seven Oaks special is that every guest returns there each evening. It becomes your home base, your constant, and the place where the shared experience of the group deepens night by night over dinner.
Can I visit or stay at Le Sette Querce independently, outside of the Seven Oaks Italy program?

Yes — and we encourage it.

Villaggio Rurale Le Sette Querce welcomes independent guests year-round. Whether you are curious about the property before committing to the program, planning a return visit to Molise, or simply looking for a beautifully situated rural retreat in southern Italy, the property is available for direct booking outside of the Seven Oaks Italy group departure dates.

Rooms, dining, and the full warmth of the property's hospitality are available to you at any time. Visit lesettequerce.it to explore availability and make a reservation directly with the property.

What does a typical day actually feel like?
Breakfast at 08:30 at the property. Departure by 09:15 in comfortable transport. The morning and early afternoon are given to the day's destination — a UNESCO site, an ancient city, a Molise village, a private boat on the Amalfi Coast. Lunch is always included, usually at a local restaurant near the day's location. Return to Seven Oaks between 19:00 and 19:30. Dinner at 19:30 — a proper sit-down meal, usually with wine, conversation, and no particular rush. Days are full without being exhausting. Evenings are unhurried. There is no 06:00 lobby call, no racing between seven sites in a day, and no sense that you are being moved through Italy rather than allowed to experience it.
Is this suitable for solo travelers?
Yes — and many of our most enthusiastic guests travel solo. The small-group structure (maximum 24 guests) and the shared-table culture of the program create natural opportunities for genuine connection. Meals, excursions, cooking classes, and evening conversations at Seven Oaks all foster the kind of easy companionship that forms quickly among curious, like-minded travelers. A single supplement of €550 applies for private room occupancy. Solo travelers are warmly welcomed and fully included in every aspect of the experience.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations on or before June 15, 2026 receive a full refund of all payments made. After June 15, 2026, payments are non-refundable. If Seven Oaks Italy cancels the program for any reason — including failure to reach minimum enrollment — a full refund of all monies paid is issued. This is why comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended: it protects your investment against unforeseen personal circumstances that may arise after the refund deadline.
How do I get from North America to Italy?
International airfare is not included in the program price. Most guests fly into Rome Fiumicino (FCO), which offers the widest range of direct transatlantic connections from North America. Naples Capodichino (NAP) is also an option for guests routing through a European hub. Transfers from both airports are included on the official arrival day, August 26. Our travel partner Daria Di Antonio at Travelcafè can assist with flight bookings, pre-program hotel nights in Rome or Naples, and any other arrangements you need. Contact us and we will connect you directly.
Has this journey been run before — and what did past guests think?
Yes. In 2025, a group of 20 guests completed a journey that closely mirrors this year's program — the same property, the same Molise villages, Pompeii, Caserta, Montecassino, Agnone, the cooking classes, and the shared meals at Le Sette Querce. Three of those guests sat down on camera to speak candidly about the experience. No scripts, no prompts — just what they felt. You can watch their testimonial video here. The 2026 program builds directly on that experience, with the same team and the same commitment to delivering what is promised.
Why is Travel Café involved?

Because responsible travel requires structure.

European package travel regulations require that a licensed tour operator formally organize and protect the consumer component of a program of this nature. Lou was clear from the outset: if Seven Oaks Italy were to welcome North American guests, it would be done correctly — legally compliant, financially protected, and professionally administered.

For that reason, he chose to partner with his long-time friend Antonio D'Urso, president and owner of Travel Café. Travel Café is an established Italian tour operator with expertise in curated group travel and full regulatory compliance. Their role is essential: they manage contractual obligations, traveler protections, payment processing, liability coverage, and the formal structure of the tour package itself.

In practical terms, Seven Oaks Italy designs and hosts the experience; Lou curates, positions, and promotes it in North America; Travel Café ensures that every traveler is protected under proper tour-operator governance.

The result is not improvised hospitality. It is a carefully structured cultural immersion — intimate in spirit, rigorous in organization, and designed to honor both the guest and the place.

Who is Lou and will he be with us throughout the journey?
Lou Tortola is the founder and personal host of Seven Oaks Italy. He travels with the group for the full ten days — not as a tour guide reading from a script, but as a fellow participant who knows these places intimately. Born in Miranda, Molise, Lou has made more than 50 trips to Italy over 40 years and has visited Le Sette Querce more than 30 times. On Day 7, when the group visits Miranda, Lou is walking guests through his own birthplace. That dimension of the experience cannot be replicated by any other program. You can learn much more about Lou on the About Lou page.
Why is Lou Tortola doing this — and what role does he play?

Seven Oaks Italy was never conceived as a commercial exercise. It began with a return.

For more than four decades, Lou Tortola has traveled to Italy regularly — often arriving in Milan, departing from Rome, and spending meaningful time in Molise, the region at the heart of the Seven Oaks experience. When Rocco Peluso welcomed a group of twenty guests in September 2025 to his retreat in southern Italy, Lou witnessed something rare: travelers not merely visiting, but settling into a rhythm of place. Conversations lingered. Meals extended. The village atmosphere shaped the group in subtle, powerful ways.

After that experience, Rocco asked Lou to help bring additional North American groups to Seven Oaks. Lou agreed for several reasons. He has long-standing familiarity with the region and deep respect for what Rocco has built. Their friendship is rooted in shared values — hospitality without pretense, cultural depth without performance. Lou also returns to Italy as often as possible because it is personal to him; this program allows him to share that Italy — not the one filtered through mass tourism, but the one defined by relationships.

Professionally, Lou brings something distinct. Over a forty-year business career spanning technology, product development, and international ventures, he has repeatedly built initiatives from the ground up. He excels at designing systems, structuring experiences, and positioning projects with clarity and integrity. Most importantly, Rocco is not active in any business capacity in North America. Lou and his team are. Seven Oaks Italy's presence, communication, and curated positioning in the North American market are led by Lou — ensuring that the experience remains refined, organized, and thoughtfully delivered.

Does Lou Tortola get paid to do this?

Yes.

Seven Oaks Italy is built on friendship and shared vision — but it is also structured as a professionally organized travel program with clearly defined commercial agreements. There is a formal contract in place between Seven Oaks Italy (the property), eliquidMEDIA International Inc., and Travel Café. These agreements outline the roles, responsibilities, and business relationships of each party to ensure transparency, compliance, and operational clarity.

Lou's company, eliquidMEDIA International Inc., is responsible for the North American promotion and positioning of the program. This includes developing and maintaining the Seven Oaks Italy website, producing the video content prospective guests see, designing the marketing strategy, and dedicating the time required to educate, guide, and speak personally with travelers who are considering participation.

In practical terms, eliquidMEDIA acts as the strategic and marketing arm of the program in North America. It curates messaging, answers detailed inquiries, helps prospective guests determine whether the experience aligns with their expectations, and then directs them to Travel Café — the licensed Italian tour operator — for the formal booking and consumer-protected purchase of the tour. For this defined and value-added role, eliquidMEDIA is compensated under the terms of its agreements. Lou Tortola, in turn, is fairly remunerated for the professional services he provides.

It is important to emphasize that compensation does not alter the integrity of the experience. On the contrary, the formalization of roles ensures that Seven Oaks Italy focuses on hosting and delivering the on-the-ground experience; Travel Café fulfills its regulatory and consumer-protection obligations as licensed tour operator; and eliquidMEDIA promotes and supports the program with clarity, accountability, and sustained attention.

The structure exists to protect the traveler, to ensure professional standards are met, and to allow each party to operate within its area of expertise. Seven Oaks Italy is therefore both heartfelt and properly organized — a curated cultural immersion supported by transparent commercial relationships.

Is August 26, 2026 the only departure date this year?

Yes. At present, August 26, 2026 is the confirmed departure for this year's program.

As this is our inaugural launch season and we are introducing the experience approximately five months in advance, we have intentionally structured a single departure to ensure focus, quality, and attentive execution. Should demand be strong, we are fully prepared to add an additional fall departure.

Looking ahead to 2027, we intend to release multiple dates with a much earlier launch timeline, allowing for broader planning flexibility and expanded availability.

Can I be notified when 2027 dates are released?

Absolutely. We would be pleased to keep you informed.

If you would like to be considered for a 2027 departure, we can note your interest and notify you as soon as dates are confirmed. Please note that future departures may reflect adjustments based on program enhancements, operational considerations, and evolving costs. Registering your interest ensures you receive priority communication when new dates are announced.

Can a specific departure date be arranged for my group?

Yes — in certain circumstances.

If you are traveling as a private group of approximately 16 guests (or eight couples), and subject to availability at Seven Oaks Italy, we are happy to explore a dedicated departure tailored to your preferred timeframe. We will work collaboratively to align logistics, accommodations, and program structure with your group's needs.

Can the itinerary be customized to reflect a special interest?

Yes. For private groups of sufficient size, we can design a customized version of the Seven Oaks program that reflects particular interests — whether culinary, historical, artistic, genealogical, or regional in focus.

Our team works thoughtfully to preserve the integrity of the Seven Oaks experience while shaping a version that feels personally meaningful to your group.

What if I prefer a fully private, individually guided experience rather than traveling with a group?

This is certainly possible.

We can design and coordinate a personally guided itinerary built around your interests, whether similar in structure to the Seven Oaks program or expanded to include additional regions and experiences.

Private travel of this nature involves dedicated guides, transportation, and custom arrangements, and is therefore structured differently from our small-group departures. We are happy to discuss options in detail and create a program that reflects your preferences and pace.

🇮🇹 Italiano Benvenuti a Seven Oaks Italy. Questo sito è redatto principalmente in inglese...

Benvenuti a Seven Oaks Italy.

Schreiben Sie uns. Wir sind für Sie da.
